My research goal is to search for and study new photoactive structures - agents for fluorescent diagnostics and photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy. Design of new dye-acceptor hybrid structures as potential type I photosensitizers and optimization of the properties of already known type II photosensitizers by incorporating them into nanoparticles of various types. In particular, the study of their photophysical properties, the evaluation of the efficiency of generation of reactive oxygen species, and the determination of the phototoxic effect on tumor cells.
