Federal Research Center of Problem of Chemical Physics and Medicinal Chemestry RAS
Laboratory of Laser Electrochemistry
Research topics: Pulsed electrochemical modification of carbon electrodes.
Main tasks:
Identification and study of significant physicochemical parameters of the modification of electrodes based on various carbon allotropes (glassy carbon, various grades of graphite, synthetic diamond doped with nitrogen, etc.) in the modes of pulsed electrolysis and plasma electrochemical effects.
Establishing a correlation between the kinetic and thermodynamic characteristics of irreversible reactions of oxygen reduction, hydrogen evolution and electrolysis of water and the parameters of electrochemical modification of electrodes.
Determination of the most effective electrode material and its modification method for carrying out these reactions on the basis of industrially manufactured grades of carbon materials.
