Laboratory of Electrode Processes in Liquid Systems
Research topics: Development of materials for liquid electrochemical devices and the creation of prototypes of electrochemical devices based on them.
Main tasks:
Production, characterization of materials for liquid electrochemical devices and the study of their compatibility with other elements of the device. Materials include: electrodes, modifying layers, separators, current collectors.
Development and testing of electrolytes: solvents, reagents, background substances, ionic liquids.
The study and description of the processes occurring in the production of materials and electrolytes, the transfer of matter and charge across the interfaces in the developed devices, the laws of electro- and bioelectrocatalysis.
Development and creation of miniature devices and prototypes: flow-through redox batteries, pseudo-capacitance supercapacitors, microbial and enzymatic fuel cells, sensors of molecular and ionic components in solution, and electrodes for working in real liquids.
