REC consists of three sectors: postgraduate sector, tertiary sector and sector of physical-chemical research.
The postgraduate sector
provides IPCP RAS with researchers of the highest professional skills to be involved in investigations in priority directions.

The tertiary sector
is responsible for functioning of FFPCE MSU, basic chairs of tertiary institutions, joint laboratories, teaching-research complex "Chemical Physics", and for coordination of joint programs with tertiary institutions.
