Relations of IPCP RAS with applied science and high schools:
IPCP RAS, being a base for Chemical Faculty of Regional branch of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and Moscow Physical-Technical Institute, is engaged in scientific and experimental studies with students and post-graduates, using the state-of-the-art science and technology facilities of the Institute, as well as in development of teaching materials.
The Institute is the basis for chairs of Moscow Physical-Technical Institute (Chair of Supra-molecular Systems and Chair of Physics of Organized Structures and Chemical Processes), chairs of Regional branch of Moscow State University (Chair of Biochemical Physics) and Education-Scientific Centers "Ionics of Solids" and "Chemical Synergetics".
IPCP RAS is involved in bilateral agreements on joint scientific and education activity with Moscow, Voronezh, Ivanov, Tomsk, Rostov, Chuvash, St-Petersburg State Universities, Yaroslavl' State Technical University, Kazan State Technology University and Rostov State Pedagogical University.
REGIONAL BRANCH OF THE M.V. LOMONOSOV MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY (CHERNOGOLOVKA)
In 1997, by decision of the Presidium of Scientific Center in Chernogolovka, RAS, (SCC) and Scientific Council of MSU, Regional Branch of Moscow State University was established, in order to provide the integration of academic and university science, to use the scientific potential of SCC scientists for training of young scientists, and to enlist talented young people to scientific activity.
The following specialties are available in the Regional Branch: 010400 - Physics, 010900 - Astronomy, 011000 - Chemistry, 511000 - Geology, which provide with Master Degree.
There are three faculties in the Branch, Chemical, Physical and Geological.
Students enter the Regional Branch according to MSU rules through selection committees of the corresponding faculties. The students of the Branch attend lectures of the corresponding faculties of MSU, this being the guarantee of high level of education. In special courses, prominent scientists of the SCC Institutes are engaged, thus providing continuity of fundamental science.
All students of the Branch are provided with stipendiums and hostel, both in Chernogolovka and Moscow. Students involved in research in Institutes laboratories get salary.
In the Chemical Faculty (dean - Academician S.M. Aldoshin), there are the following specialties: physical chemistry, chemical kinetics and catalysis, chemical technology, chemical materials science.
